In 2025 he presented some artwork for the exhibition <em>Artificialis: The Nature of Latent Images<\/em> (Garagem Avenida, Guimar\u00e3es). His research into the relationship between architecture and image began with his doctoral thesis <em>Arquitetura como Imagem, Obra como Representa\u00e7\u00e3o<\/em> (University of Minho, 2007). In 2015 he was awarded the AICA\/Funda\u00e7\u00e3o Carmona e Costa Architecture Criticism Prize with the book <em>Escola do Porto: Lado B<\/em> (CIAJG\/Documenta, 2014). He has participated in various exhibitions as a curator as well as with his own works. As a curator, he has collaborated with Casa da Arquitectura; the Lisbon Architecture Triennale; the Porto City Hall; and CAAA or CIAJG. As an author, he published the books <em>Arcosanti<\/em> (Circo de Ideias, 2017) and <em>O Mundo \u00e0s Costas<\/em> (Pierrot le Fou Editora\/DGArtes, 2019). He has exhibited his work at the Venice Architecture Biennale, S\u00e3o Paulo Architecture Biennale, the Lisbon Architecture Triennale, Guimar\u00e3es European Capital of Culture 2012, MAAT, EDP Gallery, among other institutions.       <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>He is an architect (FAUP 1996), Associate Professor at EAAD\/University of Minho, and a research member of Lab2PT.
