She is a landscape architect and Emeritus Professor at the University of \u00c9vora, who has been a visiting professor and lecturer in several master’s and doctoral programs across Portugal, Europe, and Brazil. With a distinguished academic career, she served as the Principal Investigator of the Portuguese team for the European project InnoLAND \u2013 Launching Innovation-Based Landscape Architecture Training Framework in Europe.
She is a researcher at the Center for Art History and Artistic Research (CHAIA) and has acted as a garden consultant for the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation. She is widely recognized as an expert in cultural landscapes, with a research focus on their aesthetic, ecological, and cultural values. Her contributions include numerous books, book chapters, and scholarly articles in national and international journals. She has supervised a significant number of master’s theses and doctoral dissertations in this field.
