António Guerreiro

(b. 1959, Santiago do Cacém )

Holds a degree in Modern Languages and Literatures (Portuguese/French) from the Faculty of Arts at the University of Lisbon. He worked as a cultural journalist and literary critic for the newspaper Expresso and is currently a columnist for Público. He is one of the founders of the cultural magazine Electra, published by Fundação EDP, where he serves as editor. Guerreiro is also a guest lecturer at the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Lisbon. His extensive contributions are spread across magazines, catalogs, books, and collective publications on contemporary art and literature. He is the co-author of Enciclopédia e Hipertexto (Edições Duarte Reis, 2006) and author of several books, including Zonas de Baixa Pressão (Edições 70, 2021), O Acento Agudo do Presente (Cotovia, 2000), O Demónio das Imagens. Sobre Aby Warburg (Língua Morta, 2018), and Paris, 1900 (Exposições Universais series, 1995)
