Luca Martinucci
He is an architect trained at the Faculty of Architecture of the Polytechnic University of Milan, having attended the Universidade Lusíada de Lisboa in 2002/03 under the Erasmus programme. He has collaborated with different architects and architecture studios, in Italy and Portugal. His multidisciplinary background and interest in the History of Architecture and Art, as well as in the production of analogue and digital images, led him to found 18—25 Research Studio in 2010, which he now shares with architect Filipe Alves. With a strong technological component, the studio explores contexts of Virtual and Augmented Reality. He has been invited to present his and the studio’s work at various universities and exhibitions and cultural institutions, participating in exhibitions such as Artificialis: The Nature of Latent Images (Galeria Garagem Avenida, 2025), presenting some AI-generated artworks; Inner Space (Lisbon Architecture Triennale, MNAC, 2019); Utopia/Dystopia (MAAT, 2017); What is Innovation in Architecture? (MUHNAC, 2016); and Pixel/Brick/Pixel (University of Minho, 2015).
