Filipe Alves

He holds a degree in Architecture from the Universidade Lusíada de Lisboa (2005). He has dedicated his professional life to the visual arts, specialising in 3D animation and CG (Computer Graphics) special effects for television advertising and cinema at the film production company Kontentor Films. Since 2003 he has also been involved in photography in its various forms, starting with digital and analogue photography using 35mm film. He also explores other branches of this field, such as astrophotography and photography using historical or alternative methods. In 2012, he founded the alternative photography studio Silverbox Lisboa, where he is one of the few to explore the Lippmann technique for colour photography. In 2011, he joined the 18—25 Research Studio, a laboratory for architectural image creation, and in 2014 became one of the main partners of the company. At this studio, he has developed numerous projects in the field of virtual representation, exploring cutting-edge technology for the creation of these environments.
