He is a photographer and video artist operating at the intersection of art and documentary, addressing three fundamental forms of change: natural, spatial, and temporal. His long-term artistic research projects involve various agents and collaborators, including scientists, writers, and critics. He received support from DGArtes for the video installation Sinfonia do Desconhecido II (2019) and for the video project Cérebros Distantes (2023). Other notable projects include the video installation Acid Flamingo, an investigation of the post-human world (2024); the exhibition and publication Luzes Distante, focusing on the energy and digital transitions that have marked the territory of Sines in recent years (2022); Futureland, a project on urban growth in nine metropolises (2007-10); and Cimêncio, a book on suburban landscapes co-authored with Diogo Seixas Lopes (2003). He was also one of the artists featured in the Portuguese representations at the Venice Architecture Biennale Public without Rhetoric (2018) and Metaflux (2004).
