Paula Melâneo
She is an architect (FA/UTL 1999) and MSc. in Multimedia-Hypermedia (ENSBA/ENST Paris 2003). She is dedicated to the editorial field, cultural projects, and exhibitions. She collaborates with the architecture specialized international press. She is part of J—A Jornal Arquitectos, where she was co-author and coordinator of the editorial project (2015-19). She is a member of AICA – the International Association of Art Critics. She was the curator of Artificialis: The Nature of Latent Images presented in Guimarães (DGArtes and University of Minho, 2024-25). She co-curated projects such as: Portuguese Architecture in Democracy 2000-2024 Collection (Casa da Arquitectura); research and exhibition Almada: A Territory in Six Ecologies (Museum of Almada, 2020); Generation Z: Emerging Portuguese Architectural Practices, exhibitions and conferences (2009-11). In 2001, she joined arqa – architecture and art magazine, which she coordinated from 2010-16. She was part of Experimentadesign for the Design and Architecture Biennales (2011-17), as editorial coordinator, editor, and responsible for several books and publications.
