Pedro Bandeira
He is an architect (FAUP 1996), Associate Professor at EAAD/University of Minho, and a research member of Lab2PT. In 2025 he presented some artwork for the exhibition Artificialis: The Nature of Latent Images (Garagem Avenida, Guimarães). His research into the relationship between architecture and image began with his doctoral thesis Arquitetura como Imagem, Obra como Representação(University of Minho, 2007). In 2015 he was awarded the AICA/Fundação Carmona e Costa Architecture Criticism Prize with the book Escola do Porto: Lado B (CIAJG/Documenta, 2014). He has participated in various exhibitions as a curator as well as with his own works. As a curator, he has collaborated with Casa da Arquitectura; the Lisbon Architecture Triennale; the Porto City Hall; and CAAA or CIAJG. As an author, he published the books Arcosanti (Circo de Ideias, 2017) and O Mundo às Costas (Pierrot le Fou Editora/DGArtes, 2019). He has exhibited his work at the Venice Architecture Biennale, São Paulo Architecture Biennale, the Lisbon Architecture Triennale, Guimarães European Capital of Culture 2012, MAAT, EDP Gallery, among other institutions.
