Is a sound artist and publisher whose work circumscribes both aural and visual in the form of installations, performances and printed matter. Grounded in attentive listening as an eco-sensible methodology, his practice undulates between noise-making and book-making, through the publishing collective ATLAS. In 2015, he completed the Master Program of Experimentation in Arts and Politics, at SciencesPo Paris, and is currently conducting a PhD research project in sound art at the School of Arts – Universidade Católica Portuguesa. Recent projects include the solo show Airs (Galeria Vera Cortês, Lisbon, 2024); group shows Enredos dos (Centro Botín, Santander, 2025) and Vanishing Landscapes (TAVROS, Aitoliko, 2025); and the monograph Poetry as an echological survival (Lisbon/Porto: Documenta/UCPress, 2022). In 2024, he was awarded the Transformative Territories Mention by Prix COAL, Paris.
Saggio
Maria Manuel Oliveira
Completed her Architecture degree at the Escola Superior de Belas Artes do Porto in 1985. She is a principal researcher at the Laboratory of Landscapes, Heritage, and Territory (Lab2PT) and has been a faculty member at the School of Architecture, University of Minho, since 1997, where she teaches and develops architectural and urban design projects within the school’s research center. Throughout her career, she has taught at the University of Angola and the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Porto, practiced as an architect, and worked in public institutions in the field of urban planning. Her research and publications focus on urban landscape design and architectural heritage intervention. Her current interests lie in the study of abandoned or degraded buildings and vacant lots in urban contexts, which are critical to collective urban memory. She is currently involved in research projects on these themes in East African countries.
António Guerreiro
Holds a degree in Modern Languages and Literatures (Portuguese/French) from the Faculty of Arts at the University of Lisbon. He worked as a cultural journalist and literary critic for the newspaper Expresso and is currently a columnist for Público. He is one of the founders of the cultural magazine Electra, published by Fundação EDP, where he serves as editor. Guerreiro is also a guest lecturer at the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Lisbon. His extensive contributions are spread across magazines, catalogs, books, and collective publications on contemporary art and literature. He is the co-author of Enciclopédia e Hipertexto (Edições Duarte Reis, 2006) and author of several books, including Zonas de Baixa Pressão (Edições 70, 2021), O Acento Agudo do Presente (Cotovia, 2000), O Demónio das Imagens.
